Home Remedies professional handyman service is the brain-child of David Connor. David is a licensed general contractor with extensive experience in the construction industry. David has operated in the Hickory NC area since 1988. Through the years, he has established lasting relationships with professionals in virtually every aspect of the construction arena. In the fall of 1999, after some personal setbacks and much prayer, David decided to change the whole nature of his business. He set about to  bring professionals of every trade together at the same table. Along with his own experience in construction and remodeling, David put together a one-stop-shop home repair company called Home Remedies Rx - "The only prescription your home will ever need."

In the first few years of operation, David worked right out of his own garage. The business was virtually an overnight success. With minimal advertisement, the phone began to ring and jobs began to pour in. The success that was enjoyed in the early years was literally astounding, especially considering that the local areas of Catawba and Caldwell counties were some of the hardest hit anywhere in the country for furniture manufacturer closing, downsizing, and layoffs. All the while, Home Remedies continued to prosper and grow. Today Home Remedies has a showroom featuring the various services that we offer and many of the products that we sell. The phone won't stop ringing and we are well on the way to making Home Remedies a household name in the greater Hickory metropolitan area.
